On July 26, 2010, Japan National Council of Social Welfare (JNCSW) had a visit of participants of the Study Programme for the Senior Social Welfare Administrators 2010 organized by Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS).
The purpose of this program is to develop human resource and to deepen human exchange in social welfare field as a part of international cooperation with developing countries (mainly ASEAN countries). This time, eleven (11) participants from nine (9) countries (Bangladesh, China, Fiji, Iraqi, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, and Thailand) visited JNCSW.
On behalf of JNCSW, Mr. Yoshiyasu Nozaki, Director of Community Welfare Division of JNCSW gave a lecture under the theme of　“Role and Function of Councils of Social Welfare.” He explained network of councils of social welfare, their legal grounds, activities of municipal councils of social welfare, etc.
In a Q & A session, opinions were exchange actively about the role of Japanese government and councils of social welfare, how the network should be, how to secure human resources, how to secure financial resources, etc.
